Today, I saw my girlfriend at the store and joyfully greeted her. She got really mad at me - it was her identical twin sister, who I still cannot tell apart from my girlfriend. We've been dating for three years. FML

Today, it’s my girlfriend’s birthday. I took her out to her favorite restaurant to celebrate. The waitress serving us looked oddly familiar but I didn’t think anything of it until she said when we collected the check, “Aren’t you my sister’s husband?” I forgot she had a younger sister who worked here. FML

Today, I saw my girlfriend walking hand-in-hand down the street with another man. When I confronted her, she claimed she had no idea who I was, and the guy told me to beat it. Later on, she returned to our apartment and actually tried to act as if nothing had happened. FML

It's not like you can judge someone's personality before hearing them speak or seeing them do anything (which we can assume the OP didn't do because he hadn't even greeted her yet.) As for clothes, some twins share clothes or have similar styles. I know that I probably wouldn't notice if one of my friends started wearing new or slightly different clothes. It's not like identical twins dress in completely opposite styles, and if they do, it's most likely intentional...

Even if they dressed identical, even identical twins have tiny telltale signs to tell them apart - just take the time to find one you can recognise relatively easily and then use that :)

Yeah, they're old enough to date, so if they're still walking around with the same style of clothes and exact same haircut, that's a real bitch. And shows a complete lack of individuality on their behalf.
