I'm sorry, I don't care who's come into my home - they get offered a drink. It's the very basics of manners. I let someone in then proceed directly to the kettle. Whether it's my folks, my in-laws, neighbours or repair men.
thats called him being jealous and not knowing how to act. ignore him and carry on being a gentleman.
It's just good manners to offer a guest refreshments. Not your fault. His problem.
