Okay hold the f up. All you commenters saying to dump her ass, we don't know the full story. If it was a poly relationship, awesome, comfort her and all that shit. If it wasn't, well surprise to what seems like most of you, cheating isn't always the end of a relationship. If this guy loves his wife enough and has the heart, patience, and mental stability to forgive her and work with her to fix things, then that's great. But stop assuming cheating is the end. I'm not justifying his wife's actions, because it's an awful thing to do, but I was the cheater. I'm not proud, and I certainly don't think I deserve to have been given a second chance. But some people can make it through this and come out stronger on the other side. Unless he's in an abusive relationship, chill out and stop putting all that pressure on him
Of course dump her if she cheated. How can he ever trust her again? And same for the person you cheated on. Forgiveness is one thing but don't ever expect them to forget or easily trust you again. You and all cheaters don't deserve it.
I don't even know why you comforted her.
