Today, I got into my driving instructor's car for my first lesson. He looked at me, then said, "I'm sorry, but I wasn't told about your disabilities, what do you have?" I'm not disabled. FML

I don't get it. He "saw" your disability? Are you deformed or something?

She's saying that he's implying she resembles disabled people (not sure which disability though)... Some physical characteristic she has made him assume that. It's not rocket science. But wow, what an asshole. I guess this is what happens when people assume stuff smh.

Ok you people are dumb as hell. Disabilities on drivers licenses/permits can include things like wearing glasses or contacts and other things like that. They don't necessarily mean you are in a freaking wheelchair

ok #85, if it were for sumthing like wearing glasses or contacts, he wouldnt have said "what do you have?" !!!!! obviously this person appears to have somthing wrong with them!!!!!!

OP, you just come to terms with your disability, its not healthy to keep it bottled up in side. The first step is to look in the mirror and admit that you have one.

OMFG, you were asked the most common standardized question asked by all driving instructors out there. Your life is truly ******. how will you ever survive now knowing that you are treating like a normal human being? I feel so bad for you, you are no longer in a bubble

That's sick. And mean. I know how you feel - I have two fingers on each hand, and I had my first driving lesson. The guy looked at me and asked if I'd be able to control the wheel in high speeds. I said yes, and ended up driving really well. I felt comfortable and in control, yet he still proceeded to request a doctor's signature from my mom.

#30- OP said the instructor said "I wasn't told about your disabilities", implying that he assumed the OP had a disability. To the OP: What the hell did you do to give him the impression you were disabled?
