Today, I got fined when my fat dog decided to walk across a private film set to get at the catering area. FML

YDI, if your dog is out in public it should be on a lead.

Did you find out what set it was? A friend and I once sneaked onto the set of a movie basically just because we could. We pretended to be extras for the whole day and never got caught.

66: My neighbor has a professionally trained border collie that is the most intelligent canine I have ever been around. I prefer Oreo's company over most peoples' and babysit him when his owners go out of town.

How about put your dog on a diet and don't allow him to roam off leash. You deserve it, you moron. It's called responsible pet ownership.

oh, hell ya', my cousin works for NBC here in SoCal and when I go on set with him sometimes we shit like that happen and it's not a something taken lightly cause "time is $$" in that industry.

To add to the other comments: WHY wasn't this dog on a leash??

can i just say, everyone needs to calm. i treat my dog just fine, and i don't feed it table scrappings, she is on a diet, this has only ever happened once so didn't need to put her on a leash. so stop trying to figure out my life with my dog :L

You still are responsible for controlling your dog. EVERY time a dog leaves its home or enclosed yard it needs to be on a leash. This is for the dog's safety and protection as well as the safety and protection of others. One of my neighbors had a dog he thought was good as gold and he never leashed her because he thought she was too smart and good to do wrong. One day he was trotting her around town, no leash, when she just took off on him with no warning. She was missing for days. Eventually he found her; what remained of her was a battered carcass on the road. That was the first and obviously last time she took off on him. He was heartbroken but it was his fault; she would not have been able to bolt if he had her properly restrained. I hate, destest, despise dogs; however, I believe you have the right to own a dog but you have to TAKE TOTAL RESPONSIBILITY for the dog. What the dog damages, is your responsibility, not the dog's. The dog *****? You clean it up. The dog steals someone's food? You reimburse the person the dog stole from. The dog wanders into a movie scene, you pay the fine. Your dog; your problem.
