Fake. I've had my car stolen, and this isn't how it works. If you never reported it there's NO WAY they'd find it within the same day, therefore if you hadn't noticed it was missing by the time they found it you don't deserve to have a car.
Loser. My friend was woken by cops at 3am to tell him his car had been stolen and set on fire. Chances are someone saw the fire, reported it to the cops, cops turn up, find the car, check the registration number, track down the owner - easy. That wouldn't take long at all. Another time, a guy crashed a stolen car just down the road from our house. He got out and ran for it, but some people from a nearby house reported it to the cops and the cops called the owners all within an hour of it happening. It was like 2am, too. Those are both incidents of cars being stolen in the middle of the night, found by the cops then reported back to the owners all within hours of it happening and well before the owner would wake up in the morning and discover the car missing. So don't be such a moron.
that really sucksss. XD no bueno, fyl.
