Today, I found out it's ok to post ungraceful birthday pictures of your friends on their Facebook. The same does not apply to my mother, so instead of laughing together I'm getting a cold shoulder. FML.

its a parental respect thing. if a friend posts a goofy picture of me, thats a totally different thing than if my son does.

I can definitely sympathize with you OP. My mom started screaming at me when I posted a picture of her on FB.

I can definitely sympathize with your mom.. nobody likes to be publicly embarrassed on Facebook and it doesn't take much for a mom to consider a picture unflattering. Let alone if you purposefully picked one she looks bad on.
