Today, I caught my "asexual" boyfriend in bed with my bestfriend. The same bestfriend who also claims to be "asexual" too. FML

First off- it sucks that OP was cheated on. Second off, it sucks that these two seem to have tried to use asexuality as an excuse to hide their affair, or if they are on the asexual spectrum, that they also happen to be assholes. Third off, asexuality is in fact a thing. Saying that these two saying they are asexual and them being cheaters means that anyone who say they are asexual can't be trusted/believed, is a REAL dick move, and is like saying "all men are rapists," "all priests are pedophiles," or "all women are prudes/nymphomaniacs." In otherwords, it's bullshit. You don't "believe" in asexuality? Fine, but don't go trying to invalidate someone else's sexuality, that doesn't hurt anyone, because you don't "believe" in it. It doesn't make you funny, or smart, it just makes you a jerk.

I agree that a lecture is less in order than a kick out of the door. People do vary in their sex-drive, however, and some people are genuinely so disinteerested in sex that they don't find anything arousing. My wife, for example ;-)

Do they really know what is asexual? It's time to sit down and give them a REALLY long lecture.

How about instead of a lecture, cut them both from your lives and realize asexuality isn't a human thing

Yes but that is disinterest, doesn't mean it's a new sexuality just because she's not interested, she married you for a reason

She married me for my shining personality! The little winky face was supposed to imply that I was not being 100% serious with reference to my wife. Asexuality is a thing thou' although I suspect most people who claim to be asexual actually aren't.

I hope you mean ex best friend and ex boyfriend and I wouldn't believe anyone who says they're asexual

There are asexuals. We're just rare, and there's a bit of a spectrum.

asexuality is a spectrum too, people. look it up. to the OP, however this still totally sucks that you were cheated on. sorry there

Dude. the last two points, are they really necessary? the two people claiming asexuality in this post were caught *******. they obviously were both faking for special snowflake status

There are several very malicious posts about how anyone who claimed to be asexual is lying. Also, there are people who are on the asexual spectrum who do experience sexual attraction under certain circumstances, so saying that someone having sex means they aren't asexual is incorrect. Both of these reasons contributed to me making my last two points.

There are also people who are completely asexual- meaning they do not experience sexual ATTRACTION, but still have a libido and thus still experience he urge for sexual activity. Some of these people do choose to participate in sex with a partner. Since who someone is attracted to, and how often they feel the urge to have sex aren't exactly hard-locked to certain sexualities, someone having sex isn't necessarily an indication of them not being asexual. That said, I do find it unlikely that these two were actually on the asexual spectrum.

you mean ex boyfriend and best friend right?

They mean ass sexual. What a bunch of asses.
