she is fond of irony
While she overreacted, YDI. Saying you have a lot on your plate is a bullshit excuse. You need to actually tell her the real reason so that she has closure and can move on. When guys say stuff like "I have a lot on my plate", girls know you're bullshitting and now have no real closure and a lot of self doubt and what ifs.
Why can't being burdened by other stuff be the real reason? Stuff like work, studies, family responsibilities and other crap can pile up to the point where there is just no time for the girl. Would it be better if he tried to juggle it all and the girl just got neglected?
Irony level over 9000. Sounds like u let a witty one get away haha
Guy breaks up with girl, girl overreacts = You Deserve It Girl breaks up with guy, guy overreacts = Your life sucks, **** that guy. THIS COMMUNITY DRIVES ME INSANE.
It would have been funny if she yelled...NOW YOU HAVE A CAR ON YOUR PLATE!
"I find his line cliché, so he deserves to have his windshield broken." Are you people voting YDI as deranged as the girlfriend must've been? Or has all the FMLs made you think that people (or more correctly, guys) deserve whatever they get simply by leaving a failing relationship? FYL OP.
Sucks for you, but you gotta admit that was a lame breakup line.
and it's a rare sight to see a plate flying to windshield.. I missed it

At least it was empty.
Reconsider your word choices when breaking up with future girlfriends lol
