Today, after reading messages between my girlfriend and her best friend I found out that I'm really the only person in my generation that likes intimacy in sexual relations. Explains why she hates me being so affectionate all the time. Now I don't know how to act around her during those times. FML.

Really, the only person in your whole generation, which is millions of people? I'm willing to bet that's not true. Sounds like you and your gf just aren't on the same page and approach relationships differently. You should talk about it an let her know how you feel. If being affectionate is important to you, you should be able to have that at least sometimes, you could comprise.
