Content almost refused by staff

Today a man wearing a veteran hat cursed at and insulted me relentlessly because I'm a girl with short hair. I cut my hair because the bun style I was required to wear my hair in interfered with my combat gear. I'm a Marine. FML.

He either didn't hear me between his insults or chose to ignore it, but I couldn't curse him out in return. I'd just walked into my part time job at a store to start my shift.

As a veteran, he may have been a bit jumbled up in the head and couldn't think straight, although it would be proper for him to calm down a bit, I can still see how both of your views differ greatly. I hope you explained to him your reasoning for your cut so he doesn't overreact in the future.

I can't imagine why anyone would think he has the right to curse at and insult someone for her hairstyle. Marine or not, it's your hair, your decision. And thanks for your service.

Some people just feel like they have to spread their hate, he probably has a rough time. It doesn't excuse him though. Just keep on walking and smiling and be strong! Thank you for your service! <3
