Today, 50,000 copies of the new edition of the town's phone book came out. I manage a pizza place and bought a full menu ad. Apparently the ad designer got confused, as they placed my cell phone number in huge bold letters at the bottom of the ad instead of the store's phone number. FML

Today, I've gotten the most calls of my life. Turns out the idiot who changed the sign on my local Pizza Hut put up the wrong phone number. My phone number. I've already received 16 calls. FML

Today, after all of the business cards for the car dealership that I work for were printed, the phone number was wrong, and the lady got so pissed about getting so many calls that she told them that they had won a free car. I had to tell dozens of ecstatic customers that they hadn't. FML

Today, someone posted online a listing for a bicycle for sale, and accidentally put my phone number instead of their own. I have received more calls in one day than I have from friends and family in a week. FML

Today, I needed new business cards so I went to design and print some. After I designed, I was happy with them and printed off 100 copies. I live at a place called Canal Rocks. I forgot the 'C'. I now have 76 business cards which say 'anal rocks.' I already distributed 24. FML

Today, the magazine that had my ad in it came out. There’s never been an ad for my niche before. But there was a bigger, better ad for exactly the same thing before mine. Yet another failed business idea for me. FML

Theres a way to switch the number from that to your pizza places phone and then get a completely new cell number. Just call your phone companies.

Good advertising for free. Just use the cell for the company and get a new cell... And of course, refuse to pay the ad. Win-win-win.

That sucks, but either you or the rep did not give clear enough instructions in the first place, then didn't proof the ad beforehand. let me guess... you booked the ad 5 min. before going to press and didn't want to bother looking over it. YDI

Op..you deserve it.Most places publish exactly what you give them,especially when it comes to advertising a personal ad because it is your job to proofread your design,and make changes before it is printed.Obviously the phonebook company has little reason to assume any type of mistakes were made since you handed it in and it is there job to print it exactly "how you wanted it." I do feel bad for you though,hope you have a decent plan for your cell.
