Today, it's my long-anticipated 21st birthday! Today also happens to be the first day of my period. I've spent the whole morning in the fetal position with agonizing cramps, reduced to tears, and whimpering while the painkiller refuses to kick in. Happy birthday! Love, my uterus. FML

Oh goodness, I've had my period (with crippling cramps and nausea) on my birthday pretty much every year since I got my period. It's hell. I know how you feel...it does suck. Oh and #3...I think she means the first day of THIS particular period.

Suck it up and stop being a baby!! Jeez!! I once had to cater a wedding, outside, in heels, on my period, for 7 hours!! And did I complain?! Yeah right!! Suck it up!!

Some people get period cramps so bad that they actually don't want to/almost physically cannot move. Also, it was not on your birthday. It seems like it was your job, and either your period cramps are not that bad, or your painkillers worked, or both. You do not know if this person has cramps that bad, but you also don't know if she doesn't. You are not better than her. Also, for the record, I had to work in the vegetable garden for 8 hours, while on a very heavy period, bad cramps, little water, barely a lunch break and I almost passed out from the heat. Only to be yelled at for dropping an egg less than an hour after. Please do not assume that your life is the worst. No, I don't mean to imply that mine is the worst, either. Telling someone to 'suck it up' is just rude. Thank you for your time! Though I don't expect anyone to read this, as this comment was posted over a year ago.
