Today, I tutored a kid for two hours, for $25 an hour. When it came time for them to pay, my mother told the kid's parents that they could give me ten bucks for the whole thing. She does this a lot. FML

Today, I babysat for my neighbor's brat kid. The mom gave me $15 for 5 hours. I complained to my mom when I got home because last time I got $15/hour. Turns out my mom had told my neighbor that she thought they'd paid me too much last time. Thanks mom. Thanks. FML

Today, I taught a kid piano for a two hour lesson. The mom left to do some errands, and by the time two hours was up, she texted me asking to watch the kid for another "15 minutes" while she returned home. No problem, she had the money too, so I stayed. Four hours later, she showed up, and refused to pay me extra. FML

Today, a mother wrote me a $130 check for babysitting her four kids for a few hours. Trying to be gracious, I said, "Wow, thank you, this is very generous!" She thought for a minute, then said, "You're right." She took the check back, ripped it up, and wrote me a new one for $55. FML

Today, I found out that the student tutor my son advised me to hire was my son's girlfriend. I have been paying her $20 an hour for the last 3 weeks to make out with my son in his room. FML

Today, I had to watch my neighbor's daughter for 10 hours. She wouldn't eat anything I had to offer, so I ordered a pizza for $19 + a $5 tip = $24. Her father came by to pick her up, thanked me, and gave me a $20 bill. I effectively just paid to watch his kid. FML

Today, I babysat the neighbors’ evil kids. They dropped them over at my house and I played with them for five hours. After taking the brats back home and putting them to bed, their mother asked me what time I came back to the house. She only paid me for the 20 minutes I was in their house. FML

Don't let your parent bully you out of money. If you need to tutor at the library or at the parents house do what you need to do. I say this as a parent. Also, before you do that, ask your parent in a calm manner why they don't want you to learn how to make and handle your own money and why they undermine your entrepreneurial spirit and devalue your hard work. If you've mastered a subject well enough to tutor it you deserve to get paid what you're asking if the parents of the child agree to it. There needs to be open communication with your parent. Maybe they are mentally unhealthy, if that is the case and it turns into a fight then just tutor elsewhere and put your money in a student account at the bank that they don't know about.

I would definitely put my foot down and have a talk with her. Tell her you had an agreement with the parents. Tell her it's important you earn money for whatever your reason is- probably saving for college. And tell her you'd appreciate her not interfering anymore.
