let social services take her so she'd see the hole she dug for herself... seems like the only way you can teach/ discipline a teen nowadays smh
Make a FaceBook post calling her out on her shit. After you're done, put her devices near one of the tires of your car (if you have one). Have her come out and see that you'll soon start up the car and crush her devices with the wheel. After you're done with that, tell her that the only way to gain those items back is to get a job and start working for those items back. I'm truly sorry that has happened to you, OP. Best of luck on what you decide to do.
I hate to be "that guy" but if she was talking about emotional abuse, you might be abusive. My mom denied me medical care and verbally abused me most of my life. We had state insurance and she knowingly let my diabetes get out of hand and repeatedly denied that I had any pain- meanwhile she knew she had Rheumatoid Arthritis and that it's passed on to children. I went untreated for my diabetes, PCOS, and RA until I was 18. Furthermore, I had to call crisis services twice to get therapy for my disabling depression, OCD, and anxiety- and she grounded me and yelled at me for "making a scene". To the day she died she thought she was a great mother. It doesn't sound like you're abusive, but sometimes people do things that mess up their children even if they didn't mean it. Of course, if she is completely and utterly lying, ignore this. But I know even I have to watch my behavior to make sure I'm not abusive to my boyfriend after growing up in that environment. With all that being said, she shouldn't have put it on facebook or anywhere else online where it may have been linked to you. If she is lying, which she most likely is, it seems like you should get her mental health care and get rid of her electronics for awhile. Her cry for attention might be due to a different reason, such as a mental illness.
I'd say take all her electronic stuff until she agrees to post an apology, and if defax gets called she loses her spot in your house
Let her go to foster care so you can stop paying for the ungrateful little brat.
This is disgusting considering that there are actual victims of abuse out there that are afraid to seek help, while she's here crying wolf about it.
I'd like to see that poem...
Ugh, I know a girl who tried to pull that shit with her family. Luckily by the time she was crying abuse she was already 18 or 19 so they couldn't actually do anything to her family. Apparently she wrote this journal about all the abuse and hardships she'd endured and apparently she'd been raped by both of her step-dads, her brothers and step-brothers, her mom beat her all the time, her step dad beat her with baseball bat and her brother forced herion into her arm. That's not even all of it, that's just the stuff I remember. It should be noted she was in rehab for meth addiction when she wrote that story. Her counselor straight up told her, "if this were even half true you'd be dead by now." I can honestly and confidently say none of it is true. She is a psychological liar, she's even gone as far to say some guy who simply catcalled her (still not ok), was trying to rape her. This is a very tiny snippet of all her bullshit. Hopefully OP's child is nothing like my former terrible friend.
She could have written that this person could get the medical information. Like i write down that my husband has access to my medical records.
It's also possible she thought it was abuse??? I say talk to her you might misunderstand the whole thing just like she might

Calmly sit her down and explain to her that she just lost access to all the devices that have an internet connection in your house, since she obviously can't handle it. No phone, no computer, tablet or whatever else she has - if she wants to earn them back, she gets to do so by volunteering at an organization that helps actual abuse victims.
Throw her in the river.
