Today, my boyfriend of several years, and father of our one-year-old child, finally proposed. He was making idle conversation from twenty feet away and casually said, "By the way, you wanna get hitched?" This is as romantic as my life will ever get. Yay. FML

You could say no. The last thing u want to do in life is settle. If its not something that 100% makes your heart jump out of your chest, or Atleast makes u smile.... Then rethink your options. Make yourself happy.

Being romantic is work. A lot of people do as little work as possible. If he's getting everything he wants not being romantic what incentive is there to be romantic? (personally I would appreciate the kind of guy that does a little extra just because he cares for me but a lot of guys aren't like that)
