Red tape

Today, I have a time sensitive package from another country that has been sitting in customs for a week. USPS tells me that it’s customs’ responsibility. Customs tells me they processed it and it’s USPS’s responsibility. I can’t fucking win, can I? FML
I agree, your life sucks 430
You deserved it 80

I got a package delivered 3 days ago that the tracking info says is two states away. 🙄

Welcome to the unreliability and normalcy of USPS. This is why I always pay extra for any other shipping service - FedEx, UPS, or DHL have been the best for me. USPS is the worst service I've ever had the misfortune of dealing with. Plus, my work relies on them to deliver our time-sensitive periodicals to subscribers, and they're always a week late. Dozens of phone calls weekly, always having to tell the same people the same thing - it's the post office. I can get things from overseas in two days with FedEx, but things that are confined to the continental U.S. take two weeks to arrive via USPS. I've had things from one state over sit in the black hole sorting facility for a month. In your case, it sounds like someone lost the package and no one wants to take the blame for it, so they're blaming each other. It may be time to file a claim and actual missing package search.
