Today, I logged onto Facebook to a new notification. I got excited, until I went on to see that it was my mom commenting on my status. She had seen my friends swear in previous comments and decided to make a comment of her own. She told them, "Hey, watch out yr language!" I'm nineteen. FML

My cousin's mom just went from room to room telling family to be nice to her because she started her period. I guess she forgot about facebook. Sorry OP.

my mom did something similar when I was a kid. she told the whole family at Christmas time that I was finally a "woman" and to be extra nice :/

That should be a feature on Facebook, honestly.. A warning pops up so you know it's monthly cycle time for that person. Good opportunity for midol ad revenues also

When Facebook opened up to everyone, not just college students, I took a six year hiatus from it just for this reason. I didn't want my freaking family as my Facebook friends.
