Mystery

Today, I was pulled into an office by the head of my college department. I was told that I was “making someone uncomfortable” but refused to elaborate on who it was, or what I’d done wrong. How am I supposed to fix a problem if I don’t know what the problem is? FML
I agree, your life sucks 555

Wow. A completely pointless meeting. CALL HR, or the local equivalent. This is creating a hostile work environment for you.

Many years ago, I was told something like that. With no idea of what I had done and to whom, there was no practical way to remedy the situation. All I could do was to be more cautious in my dealings with everyone. I figured if there was a continuing problem they would let me know… Some considerable years later in another organization my boss told me to see HR and they told me that a particular coworker had complained. I ultimately went to see them and to apologize. It turned out that it was primarily a miscommunication, but I was always careful dealing with them from then on… If you know who and what you can make corrections, otherwise you just have to be careful and guess.

If you didn't join the Student Union, do so first thing tomorrow. If you did when you started then get your arse straight to your Rep. There's rules that HAVE to be followed by faculty and it sounds like this woman is winging it. Go find your rep, asap.

What woman? I was sure the person pulling OP into the office, or the person make unconfortable, was some kind of Incel integrist guy.
