Hangry

Today, a man from across the bar looked at me, pointed, and said "MMMM, now THAT'S what I want." Offended, I confronted him to tell him I felt disrespected by him referring to me as 'that.' Turns out, he was pointing to the cheeseburger that the waitress behind me was holding. FML

Too many FMLs come from women assuming men are admiring them when they're not. You'd think people would learn by now. Besides, even if he was, you don't have to be so rude about it.

That must of been a good looking cheeseburger. Either that, or you might have a yeast infection.

Good for you! You couldn't have known, and we do need to speak up more for that sort of thing because it's too often dismissed and then interpreted by the speaker to be alright, and thus by society to be considered acceptable.

hahh, don't be cocky and assume every guy wants you. I'm not saying YDI for that, I'm saying YDI for confronting him. Even if he was talking about you, you don't disturb someone at a meal. -.-"

If I was that man, exactly how I would reply. He was obviously talking about you, then commenting on whatever happened to be behind you.

You have never thought that someone was talking to you when they were not?

You people are so disgusting. There is a difference between a noun and a proper noun. People are not referred to as "that." Personal pronouns were invented in order to distinguish a HUMAN BEING from an OBJECT. Being referred to as an OBJECT is dehumanizing and objectifying. Perhaps I have have too much self-esteem, but that does not sound complimentary to me. And none of you can say you have never thought someone was talking to you when they were not. None of you. Not with the invention of bluetooth. So get off your high horses, she is not full of herself for making that mistake any more than you are.

thats what you get for being a ****. even if he was talking about you it was complimentary just with poor grammar if he was talking about you he should have said "That's who I want"

No. Everyone knows the different between who and that. If the man passed 6th grade, he knew the difference. There was nothing complimentary about that statement at all.
