Today, I have been trying to get pregnant for 4 years. I’ve gone through numerous expensive fertility treatments with no success. A former friend of mine owes me almost $2K. I’ve asked for the money back numerous times so that I can use it to pay for another round of IVF. She won’t pay. She just announced that she's pregnant.. FML

That’s why I never lend large amounts of money. I never lend large sums of money because 99% of the time it automatically becomes a gift according to the other person. Next time, put it in writing so that when you want/need the money, you can take them to court over it

Tell her to give you the kid and call it even. That or put a mechanic’s lien on the house or something sensible.
