If u cannt differ astronomy from astrology then better work @McDonalds
Maybe it was a typo. who cares? the deal is the counselor said the poster's stupid... can you really tell a person's intelligence from two sentences?
as others have said, if you can't remember the name of the profession, it's not for you. better listen to your councilor
It's probably been said already multiple times, but it's Astronomer, not Astrologer. But yeah, that was kinda mean of the counselor.
That was unprofessional. I say go for it. If your counselor won't help guide you towards that field, look it up online to see what's required. Off the top of my head though, you'll need a good background in math and science of course. Also, check out what's available at the local libraries. Also... http://www.nasa.gov/audience/forstudents/index.html - Nasa page for students.
#77 you bet we can.
Um...you ARE stupid if you think they're called "astrologists." Astrologists are people who write horoscopes. Astronomers are people who study space.
What the hell?! Sounds like a great guidance counselor! (sarcasm) And astrologists study the stars too, to those saying you're stupid. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Astrology
Yeah, nothing proves your intelligence like getting all your facts off Wikipedia.
My guidance counselor told me I'd never get into to my top choice college. And that I need to pick "more realistic career goals..." I got into that college, graduated, work in my chosen field and live in Los Angeles... it was great to prove that guy wrong!
1) Your counselor is a world-class douchebag 2) Teachers suck in general... they're all wacko leftist unionist commies, who like Obama, even AFTER what he's done to our country the last 2 months 3) You DO need to learn the name of the career, and maybe your counselor has a POINT (although he/she still shouldn't have said it), since you don't even know the name of it... astrologers predict and study weather patterns and forecasts, while astronomers study the universe. Get it straight. 4) Get your grades up (unrelated advice). And stop using the computer so much.
Keywords
Your counselor probably had a point. If you were interested in space you would want to be an astronomer, not an astrologist.
Oh my god, that's horrible.
