Today, I went to my guidance counselor and told her how I'd been fascinated with space since I was 12, had read about the universe and everything, and how I want to be an astrologist when I grow up. She stared at me for a second, before saying, "But you're... stupid." FML

Today, I had a conference with my dad, my counselor, and my history and English teachers because my dad was "concerned" about my grades in those two classes. We talked for a while and it was going well, then my counselor asked what I wanted to study in college. I said I wanted to be a teacher. He laughed. FML

That was unprofessional. I say go for it. If your counselor won't help guide you towards that field, look it up online to see what's required. Off the top of my head though, you'll need a good background in math and science of course. Also, check out what's available at the local libraries. My guidance counselor told me I'd never get into to my top choice college. And that I need to pick "more realistic career goals..." I got into that college, graduated, work in my chosen field and live in Los Angeles... it was great to prove that guy wrong!

1) Your counselor is a world-class douchebag 2) Teachers suck in general... they're all wacko leftist unionist commies, who like Obama, even AFTER what he's done to our country the last 2 months 3) You DO need to learn the name of the career, and maybe your counselor has a POINT (although he/she still shouldn't have said it), since you don't even know the name of it... astrologers predict and study weather patterns and forecasts, while astronomers study the universe. Get it straight. 4) Get your grades up (unrelated advice). And stop using the computer so much.
