uhhh #15 astronauts don't just "hop around" , also, this person could've meant an astrologists, since that has to do with stars, even though it's not scientific, or anything- this person could believe in it and maybe thats what they meant. And either way, the guidance counselor should have corrected them and not been such a jerk, everyone can screw up words. It doesn't make you an idiot.
Proper response: "Aww, dammit! Does that mean I have to be a guidance counselor now?"
Heheheh, you wouldn't stand a chance in astronomy...there's a lot of physics that you probably wouldn't be able to handle if you couldn't even get the difference between astrology and astronomy correct...
Mistake aside, your guidance counselor is a douche. I would report them for that. Just because guidance counselors are supposed to be there to help you with your problems, not completely crush your dreams. I bet if s/he did it to you s/he did it to someone else, too, which is not acceptable.
#43, good one!
That's what they told Einstein.
I'm calling bull here. Sorry, buddy, but the whole thing about Einstein getting bad grades, being called retarded, etc, is an urban myth. Although people didn't realize just how intelligent he was growing up, he was never believed to be mentally challenged. (This surprised me, too, but learning about the lies they told you in elementary-high school is part of being a history major.)
@ #24- It was a reference to another thing here on FML where someone called a train driver the "constructor" and everyone made fun of her :p

Your counselor probably had a point. If you were interested in space you would want to be an astronomer, not an astrologist.
Oh my god, that's horrible.
