Today, my family and I went to the coast. Our dog was off the leash because we were the only people around. He was delighted to find a dead seal carcass and roll around in its remains. We then had a 3 hour drive home. FML

82 - It was the lack of a question mark, that confused me. It wasn't only a run on sentence, it should have been 2 sentences. "Weren't you paying attention to where he was? I would if he was unleashed." And clearly, someone does care about punctuation. :)

You were at the coast right? Perfectly adequate amount of water to kick the dog into. I'd prefer my dog to smell of ocean than long dead rolled in seal. But, to each their own.

That probably would have only resulted in a wet dog/dead seal combination, and whoever got the dog wet would then smell of the same lovely aroma. Ick.

how is this a fml? if it bothers you that much that your dog acts like, well, a dog, put him to sleep. otherwise stfu and deal with it

Wow. Overreaction much? It is a FML because nobody (that I know) likes to sit in the smell of death for three hours. And I think that everyones parents, sisters, brothers or pets bother them sometimes. Doesn't mean they want them dead.

we do... dogs aren't allowed off lead in fields with animals in or on the majority of beaches in the spring/ summer season.
