Tons of people take birth control. Hell, I'm a lesbian and I take it to regulate my hormones/period/migraines. The real FML is that you haven't had sex in six years.

It's kindof sad that everyone says "ohhh, it sucks that you haven't had sex in six years" There is a ton of people that never have because they don't want to. I'm not having sex until I'm married. And I'm fine with that. so honestly anyone can survive without having sex. It's not that big of a deal.

My girlfriend and the rest of the females in her family take it for medicinal reasons. Lessen cramp pain, fight acne, generally make things easier.

Well check this out; if you're a virgin your body wont crave/want sex. But once you lose your virginity you know what it feels like so that's when your body wants it.

That's not true. How do you think people lose their virginity in the first place? Accident? A lot of virgins crave it. And after knowing what it feels like, you might decide you don't want it any more.

Bullshit, 108! The horniest I've ever been was before I knew sex wasn't all it's cracked up to be. Our bodies are meant to crave it so we continue on the human race. Jesus, get educated.

108 has confused his facts, methinks. I don't know about men, but generally a woman's sex drive *does* increase with the frequency of her sexual activity (or maybe it's her orgasms-- I can't recall). So in a way, the more you have it, the more you want it. That's why doctors tell women with low libidos to have sex or ********** anyway. "Generally" is the key word here; there are always exceptions, like women with traumatic experiences, recurring sexual disappointment, sexual disillusionment, hormonal imbalances, etc. BUT, that doesn't mean virgins can't have very high libidos; as Toxi said, that's illogical. Besides, OP doesn't say she's a virgin, just that she hasn't had sex in 6 years. She could very well remember what she's missing. Add in her likely age and the fact that women's sex drives naturally peak later than men's, and 108's statement becomes nearly nonsensical.

I agree 100%, Toxicunt. Then, once I did have sex (since he wasn't that great...) I felt I really didn't want it as much. One of the other guys wasn't that great either, but we did it a lot. I still didn't want it. :/ Which leads me to JaneDoe's post. I think it's the frequency of ******... Let's just say my latest experiences have shown that.

NOT CORRECT. I'm a virgin and I crave sex. My cousin isn't a virgin and hates sex. I think it all depends on your first time.

well at least u have clear skin :)

Be glad you're allowed it. With or without the need for contraceptive.

sex isn't the best thing in the world but there is a time and place for it. and it can be great.

well there are some girls who have to take it for other reasons, before they are even sexually active. I have a rare condition and if I miss a single pill, I get ridiculously sick during my period. I've been taking the pills since I was 13. now I'm 23 and married, but you weren't alone OP. there were many years before I became sexually active and I still took the pill.

someone please recommand me cheap place for birth control ;(

Call your local health department or Planned Parenthood clinic if you're in the States. If you're uninsured or birth control isn't covered by your insurance, you can get birth control for free or at a discount. They use a sliding scale so your medication cost and appointment fee depend on your wages. Usually you have to go in for an exam and pap smear, and they'll likely give you a year's worth of pills if your history is OK. Just make sure you give yourself lots of time for the appointment; I've spent 5+ hours there in the past.

thank you for such a detailed reply>__<

don't worry. my paranoid mom put me on the pill when I was 13. didn't lose my virginity until age 20. so that was 7 years. hehe. and I'm far from fugly.
