Today, there was a new girl in one of my classes. We both corrected a classmate on his grammar, so, trying to make a new friend, I leaned back to her and said, "Haha, fellow Grammar Nazi?" She gave me a disgusted look and told me she was Jewish. FML

Today, we had to discuss our heritage at school. When I told the class that I'm German, Japanese, and of the Jewish faith, my teacher laughed at the "irony." Something like this always happens whenever I tell people my background. FML
Today, a parent of one of the students I teach called me to complain that I was teaching her child "lies" and "fairytales". I was teaching them about the Holocaust. FML
Today, I finally found out why my new co-worker has been shooting me dirty looks, being rude to me, and generally trying to avoid me. It's because I have blonde hair and blue eyes, and she thinks people like me are Nazis. FML
Today, my teacher assigned us teams in a class debate. I landed on the team that had to argue the obviously wrong point of view. When I finished, my teacher told me and the entire class how much I disturbed her, and how I reminded her of Hitler and Napoleon. FML
Today, I was discussing my family heritage with my girlfriend's parents. The moment I told them that I came from a German background, her seven-year-old brother pointed at me and yelled, "HITLER!" FML
Today, I was hitting on a girl who was getting ready to walk into the same class as me. We were waiting outside the room, so I told her that I'd heard the professor for the course was a total bitch. We walked into the room. I sat down at a desk. She stood behind the podium. FML
Today, I somehow mistook the Star of David for a Pentagram. My Jewish friends were not amused. FML
Today, I contacted my landlady to tell her that I approved of the girl she recommended for a sublet. She then told me she thinks this girl is a neo-Nazi. Why? The e-mails she sent to the girl were rejected as spam. Apparently, this and being German qualifies you to be a neo-Nazi. FML
Today, I watched my mother tell a man that the holocaust was "a good thing" and "necessary for population control". That man was my girlfriend's father. Who is Jewish. FML
Today, I was sitting in class when I overheard a group talking about how much they don't like me. When they saw me there, they burst out laughing. FML

Okay one ts clear you didn't know she was Jewish and two if she doesn't get its a joke she's not worth your time as long as you didn't say something like Hitler had the right idea in getting rid of the Jews or something you were not being offensive and she's an idiot I don't take offence at people who say they're really Irish adopted when they down liquor easily because I know its a joke although my Irish cousins may think otherwise

Judging by some of the callous comments, I'd say the Jewish girl is the only one truly educated about the Holocaust. I'm dumbfounded that anyone with the capacity to empathise with another human being could make some of the remarks in these comment threads. I'm hoping it's ignorance and not hatred that's behind them.

You know the Nazis killed more than just "Jews" but everyone else let it go because war is a part of life. I guess they need to coast off of something for political reasons or else what else would their anti defamation league do?
