Aggressive Dublin, Ireland

Today, my husband and I threw a party with non-alcoholic wine. No one acted wasted, until in the last hour my grandmother started slurring her words and slumping. We thought she was joking, until a doctor at the party confirmed she was having a stroke. FML

Aggressive tells us more.

Hello everyone. She's doing very well now! The doctors at the hospital told us it was only a minor stroke luckily. We were extremely lucky to have a doctor at the house indeed. And sorry to hear about your loss #70.:(

I hope she is fine- I guess it can be a lesson to just never take any situation that deals with someone's health lightly.

Is she ok? I hope she is! Good thing to be friends with doctors, you never know when you might need them

She had a stroke because was served non-alcoholic wine at an Irish party! That's like eating non-fat Jewish food! Oy, the schmaltz!

Hope she recovers soon.. Time to learn the signs of a stroke, so you can know what's going on if it should happen again.

mustve been one hell of a party you were having

non-alcoholic wine is a thing?

Welsh's sparkling grape juice, among others

36, its pointless, thats what it is. Might as well give grandma glucose tablets as well to go along with the atmosphere of the 'party'!

Hope she is alright. Just said a prayer for her

I hope she's okay!

I stopped reading at "non alcoholic wine" and pressed YDI.

That's because you're stupid. If she hadn't served non-alcoholic wine then they might not have noticed the woman was having a stroke.

what a plot twist D: sorry OP hope she's okay! :)
