Today, it was my 21st birthday and I invited a handful of my best friends over. They all stood me up and I drank alone in my apartment. Happy birthday to me. FML

Today, it's my 21st birthday. All my friends and family said they were busy so I figured I was getting a surprise party. Nope. They all were actually busy. I spent my birthday alone. FML
Today, it's my 21st birthday. All my friends showed up at my house already drunk, so I had to be the designated driver. FML
Today, it was my birthday, and even the person who seemed excited about me finally turning 21 and can legally drink forgot. Guess who got drunk alone tonight? This guy. FML
Today, it's my 25th birthday and all of the friends who promised they could come had excuses why they couldn't make it. Now I'm at the bar, alone. FML
Today, I had my 21st birthday party. My friends told me to have the party even though it had been 5 months since my actual 21st birthday. They asked me why I didn't have one originally and I jokingly told them it was because I didn't think anyone would come. Turned out nobody came after all. FML
Today, is my 21st birthday. My friends took me to a bar to celebrate, knowing I don't drink. I'm now in charge of driving my friends home after they've had an awesome night. FML
Today, it was my birthday. Two of my best friends forgot it, and so did my grandparents. All of my friends were busy, so I spent it alone in my car. FML

Today, it was my 21st birthday. My roommate insisted her friend join us. They both got belligerently drunk while I was pretty sober. We ended the night at 12am with her friend violently sobbing at the bar over her boyfriend, while I played Subway Surfers. Yay. FML
Today, all of my friends bailed from the birthday party I was throwing myself. This was also after they had encouraged me for months to have one, knowing I'd never had my birthday celebrated before. FML

I feel you man, I invited a ton of childhood friends over for my 18th birthday and none of them showed. I had expected about 20+ people. So I was left with a lot of pizza and a girlfriend that did her best to distract me. Turned out to be a fun night but I still haven't talked to any of them years later.

I'm sorry pal. I can truly relate. Its awful. I just had my 25th. And it was the first time since turning 18 that I had it off from work, and also lived near my friends. A few wished me happy birthday, but ignored the invite to hang out or go out. However...one wished me happy birthday, then asked if she could buy me a drink. I agreed, she had recently moved, so she sent me her address and I was on my way to go pick her up. Turned out, she gave me a fake address, then completely stopped talking to me until 4am. When she said "Hey, sorry I missed your calls. A friend came over so we went out. Is it too late for you to pick me up? I need a sober driver..."
