Today, I was getting my first tattoo done. My parents told me it was a bad idea. My friends' parents told me it was a bad idea. I told them that people get tattoos done all the time and nothing goes wrong. 50 min into the tattoo on my back, the artist says "Oh shit, shit, shit. We can fix this." FML

The tattoo is on my shoulder blade, and it's a Celtic knot that I drew up myself. The artist was filling in the shading in the knot after finishing the outline when he started filling in an area on the wrong side of the line. He ended up fixing it so the design came out symmetrical, and it looks really good. No regrets and no worries.

Yeah, bad idea... sounds like if you try it again you should do a little research to figure out the best tattoo parlor in your area...

Tattoos in general are not a bad idea, IF you are getting it cause you want it and not because "it's the cool thing" or "cause everyone else is doing it" Get it for YOU and no one else.

I feel your pain! After my aunt and uncle died I decided to get a tattoo of a rose and the word "Remember" in script. I apparently got the only person in the world that can't spell "remember" to do my tattoo. Now I have "renember" permanently scrawled on my back. However, both my aunt and uncle had a great sense of humor so I think they'd appreciate it.

I like how everyone is griping because "tattoos are stupid and OMG you didn't do research". Who says he didn't? Maybe he actually did do research and saw the work and the artist just happened to make a small mistake. Tattoo artists are still human, no matter how much they cost. Granted, they SHOULDN'T be making mistakes, but perhaps the artist made a very slight error and over-reacted.

Wow that just sucks... Nexed tome go to funhouse tattooing in tannersville! They've been there for 9 years they are super clean and the do an amaising job! They can also do fix ups!
