Today, I had an appointment with a psychotherapist. I was feeling very depressed and was telling her how I felt no one cared about me. Her phone rang and she left me mid-sentence to take a call about her new BMW. FML

Today, I made an appointment with a therapist because lately I've been feeling alone and like no one cares about me. I waited at her office for about forty minutes before the receptionist informed me that she must have forgotten about the appointment. Even my therapist stands me up. FML
Today, I went to therapy. I started talking about my childhood and my life. By the time the session was over my therapist was crying. FML
Today, my girlfriend left me, saying she'd started to appreciate herself more with the help of a therapist. That I paid for her to visit. FML
Today, a therapist told me that I was too depressed to attend his depression group meetings. FML
Today, I realized it's been over a month since my last therapy session. My therapist canceled on me and never got back in touch to reschedule. FML
Today, my psychiatrist of 6 years suddenly and out of nowhere told me I need to see someone else. She gave me the equivalent of the "it's not you, it's me" speech. Actually her assistant told me via email. I basically got broken up with by someone I was paying a lot of money to talk to. FML
Today, I tried therapy to talk about my problems without feeling like i am harassing anyone. After messaging a therapist for over 2 hours, I felt way better and finally understood. It turned out I'm in such a bad mental state that I'm a danger to myself and others. Police were called by the therapist. FML
Today, after breaking down in front of my therapist over some really sensitive issues, she decided to also break down. Not about my story but about her own life. I'm not being paid to comfort and console my therapist. FML
Today, I reduced my psychologist to tears. FML
Today, I finally convinced my mum to take me to a psychologist. As soon as he sat me down and asked me how I was doing, my mum burst into tears and went on a rant about how her life is terrible and she regrets everything. I was asked to sit in the waiting room. She used up my whole hour. FML

Totally out of line. Her phone should be off during a session. I'd let her know that you would appreciate her full attention during sessions, as you're paying a lot of money for it.

#2 you're an idiot. It's the therapists job to help out a person in need even if they are just whining, that's what they're getting paid for. She was rude to the OP and the OP should have walked out then and there and found a new therapist. OP FYL for what happened. Hopefully you walked out and never go back to her. You should also think about filing a formal complaint or, in the least, make it clear to others that she's a horrible therapist and get her name out there for what she's done. I know there are websites and newspaper articles in my area all the time written by patients that tell you how the doctors treated them, maybe you should look into one of them.

Hahahha, that's nothing. One time I went in, and talked about feeling depressed and lonely, and then the guy pulled a 7-11 bag out and ate a candy bar and soda like it was a movie. lol.
