Today, I found out that my company was throwing a work picnic. When I showed up, I realized that it had been planned months ago and I wasn't supposed to find out. The entire staff was there, greeting me with faces of utter shock. Nothing says "you suck" more than being "that guy" at your job. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
No, not you
Today, I found out my co-workers don't actually like me when they changed the hangout spot after accidentally inviting me. FML
Pulled a sneaky on you
Today, I found out that my work threw me a birthday party alongside my coworker’s birthday. Said coworker spread a rumor, telling everyone that I wanted each person to buy me flowers and cake. Everyone thought that I was a weirdo for asking for those things from them. I wasn't at work today. FML
Full blast
Today, I found out about a mistake I made at work when the director brought it up in an all-staff meeting, including staff from a different office. It was the first I time I'd heard about it - along with everyone else. Not as fun as it sounds. FML
Great timing!
Today, I got back from a holiday to find that my coworkers had prepared a “Welcome Back!” surprise. I pretended to be excited, only for them to awkwardly whisper that it was intended for another coworker, who was on her way back from maternity leave the same morning. FML
You wish!
Today, on my first day of a new factory job, I discovered that my new boss had lied to me about my hours. I found this out when my coworkers burst out laughing when I mentioned having the weekends off, and talking about my recreational plans. FML
Flewchart
Today, at a strategy session, my manager displayed a flowchart of his employees. I wasn't included. Apparently I had been fired and they forgot to tell me. FML
Today, I found out my boss likes to shit talk about me when I'm not around. The best part is that I don't know what I've done to piss him off. FML
Fun, relaxed
Today, I found out that my company used a nice photo of my coworkers and me for their corporate website, in efforts to make their office seem fun and relaxed. This wouldn't be so bad if they hadn't just fired every single person in the photo, myself included. FML
Today, I found out that when my boss said she was considering bumping me up to full time, she actually meant she was planning on letting me go. Everyone in the office except me knew. FML
Today, I got an invitation to the "Going away lunch" the company is throwing for me. I didn't know I was leaving. FML

For #16...obviously, the OP didn't know it was planned to exclude him, so calling him "selfish" for going when he wasn't aware he wasn't invited is wrong. At any rate, they were rude to plan a company event and exclude an employee, not to mention stupid, as it was inevitable he would find out at some point. While the OP may be "that guy" that's not an excuse for his co-worker's rudeness and selfishness. But at least he's aware of it; maybe he can talk to someone and find out what's going on. And maybe it's less about him and more about his co-workers (I've seen that happen). Who knows?

Well, why are you 'that guy'? Maybe YDI because you're an ignorant prick. If not, FYL.

The guy's probably an awkward dork who no ones wants to associate with. Every workplace has one.

#65- If you think ur opinion is important enough to reply to number 1 or 2, you should make sure you know what you're talking about first.. ITS NOT AT A RESTAURANT! There is no need for quotation marks when writing "picnic" because it REALLY WAS A PICNIC!! I don't know why it's that hard to understand that somebody could work at a restaurant...so when walking into the "Company Picnic" would refer to the whole picnic as the "entire restaurant." ******* GODD.. I am slowly losing faith in humanity every single day because of how stupid they must obviously be. If you can not figure this FML out in your head on your own then you must seriously be lacking some kind of brain function.

oh my god you ******* retard. how do you have anything without plans? were talking about Red Robin here. first you have to find people from other red robins to fill in for the people who aren't going to be there. then you have to get the funds to throw the picnic. that takes some planning wouldn't you think? you can't just shut down a restaurant for a day. ******* asshole.
