Today, I finally convinced my grandpa to try a smartphone. After an hour of teaching him how to text, he announced he'd figured it out on his own. The first message he ever sent was meant for me. It went to his pharmacist instead and simply read, "Love you. Thanks for everything." FML

Today, I was visiting my new in-laws for the first time. During an awkward silence, I took my phone and figured I'd send my friend a text jokingly saying "Mayday, mayday! Somebody save me!" My mood lightened up a little and I felt quite well until my mother-in-law's phone beeped. Yep. FML

My Mom never texts me unless she needs to. But teaching her how to text is a good thing, what if one day she ran out of minutes and couldn't call you, she'd need to text you. But if you didn't reply, YTDI. If you did, then FYL.

haha. Reminds me of my grandma. I taught her to text, she isn't crazy testing every minute, but when she does text she takes about an hour per text and puts her name at the end because she doesn't realise that it shows who it's from.

talk about cute moms, my mommy calls me every night, she waits til she knows I've clocked in for work to leave me a voicemail... my little sister and I tried to teach her to text, but it's nice to hear her voice telling me she loves me... a little off the main topic, but OP get over it. maybe she will read this, and text you saying you have been disowned for publicly humiliating her. then would you be happy?
