Today, my son decided to come out of the closet by wearing a shirt that said "Mom, I'm gay" to the family reunion. FML
Today, I came out to my parents as lesbian. Surprisingly, they were OK with it… just as long as I still marry a dude, give them grandbabies, and keep the whole lesbian thing a deep, dark, shameful secret that we never talk about again. FML
Today, I told my friends I had been hiding something that I wanted to come clean on. My one friend responds by saying, "FINALLY you come out of the closet. It's about time." I'm not gay. I was just going to tell them my parents were getting a divorce. FML
Today, I came out to my parents. I don't really fit any stereotype, I'm just an average guy who happens to be into guys. Ten minutes later, I overheard my mother say to my step-dad, "Should we redecorate his room pink?" FML
Today, I came out to my mom. I had an epic speech planned, and when I tried to tell her, it all fell apart and I started crying and just said, "I'm gay." After a few seconds silence, my mom sighs and says, "Duh." FML
Today, I finally let my parents meet a boyfriend of mine for the first time ever. My dad mentioned how he was happy to finally meet him, because for the past 4 years he'd thought I was gay. FML
Today, I came out to my father. He seemed to be totally okay with it, as long as I'm the "man" in my relationships. FML
Today, I briefly considered coming out to my parents when the topic of LGBTQ+ people came up in conversation, until my dad called them “socially deranged.” FML
Today, I finally came out to my dad, who is a priest, as gay. He responded by splashing me with holy water to "banish the demon within" me. FML
Today, I introduced my new boyfriend to my parents. Everyone knows he's into the emo scene, but this didn't stop my dad from slowly looking him up and down, then saying, completely deadpan, "You never told us you were a lesbian, honey." FML

Sounds like you have a great dad. But a dad that is having a hard time dealing with the fact that his little girl is a lesbian. He might feel like he failed as a father but loves you enough to accept it. Just give him time to get used to it.

Is he trying to be mean or is he just insensitive or also maybe expressing discomfort at having a gay child? If it bothers you, talk to him about it. If he's trying to be playful or funny but is instead being insensitive by your reckoning, then he'll stop doing it. (Sounds like he hasn't rejected you after your revelation.) If however you ask him to stop and he doesn't, then you need to lay down the law to him. He has no categorical right to call you by a derogatory word, nickname, or anything but your given name. I don't know how old you are but if you can't move out of your house at this time and he doesn't cease and desist, like physical abuse, calling your kid hurtful names is psycho-emotional abuse. If it bothers you enough, you may want to take it to an outside authority of some kind. You may not have ready access to the right kind though depending on where you live, but there are online resources or maybe resources in the broader sense available to you (eg, if there are no in-school resources, there may be some office in your county that can help). Anyway, good luck.
