Today, I broke up with my boyfriend. I decided that I was going to give his ticket to my prom (that I paid for) to someone else that I wanted to go with. It just occurred to me that my ex still thinks we're going together. FML

Inform him, even if you have to go a bit out of your way to- and be a decent person about it, don't do it over text. Yes, he'll probably figure it out, but it will be more polite to inform him bluntly and politely. Now, if you broke up because he's abusive in some way... feel free not to say anything, especially to him in person.

Today, I heard that my mom is coming back from France, where my brother lives. I have lived in the same place, exactly 45 minutes from my mother, for 6 years. She hasn't visited me once, but has been out of state to see my sibling. FML

Today, I wanted to sell some Jordan sneakers on OfferUp. I met up with the buyer in a parking lot. The friendly looking lady buying them said, “Thanks for the shoes, bitch!” then a guy come out, punched me, grabbed the shoes, and they both hauled ass. People saw and did nothing. There goes my kids’ Christmas gifts. FML

Today, after walking on the beach for an hour with a friend, I noticed I'd lost my car keys. Thirty minutes from my friend's house, three hours from mine. It was getting dark & the tide was rising. We retraced our steps with no luck; the keys could’ve been washed away. I'd also locked my keys in the car earlier this week an hour from home. FML
