We lived together before hand because we go to college together and I offered to let her new girlfriend stay here, because she had nowhere else to go. So, better than being homeless, I guess. If you're a man in that situation it's a lot less exciting than it sounds, in fact, it can hurt real bad. And the hurpy durpy comments from your friends won't make it any easier

If op is a guy, I think that it being a girl is probably easier than if it was another guy. Still sucks either way, but at least op doesn't have to compare himself to the new guy.
