Today, after leaving my mom's house, I got 4 text messages from her about how I was a terrible person for not saying goodbye to my sister when I left. The "sister" she was referring to is the family dog. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, my mom confessed to loving my "little sister" more than she loves me. My "little sister" is the family dog. FML
Almost right
Today, I told my mom she made me feel unloved my whole life. She called my sister and apologized. FML
No means no
Today, it seems my mom didn’t believe me when I told her multiple times I was not going to my nasty bitch sister's wedding. Then she acted surprised and outraged when, shocker, I didn’t go, and has been leaving me texts and voicemails for over an hour. FML
Classic Mom
Today, I got a text from my mom shaming me for forgetting my sister's birthday. It isn't her birthday today, it's mine. FML
Today, I was sitting in my room watching TV when I heard my mother obnoxiously yelling for the dog. Minutes later she stomped into my room, swatted me over the head, and yelled at me for not answering when she called. She actually got my name mixed up with the dog's. FML
Unstable
Today, my mom was in a really bad mood, so I stayed in my room to avoid her. It didn't take long before she barged in and started bitching about my dog, who'd pissed her off by acting too happy. Yes, she's actually that insane, and I have to deal with it on a daily basis. FML
Today, I went on a run with the family dog. I returned home to three missed calls and a hysterical voicemail from my dad. Why? The dog was gone. Not me, his 15 year-old daughter, the dog. FML
Stolen valor
Today, I got a text from my mom that said, “I’m so proud of you!” I immediately replied, “Thanks, Mom!” Then I realized it was meant for my sister, and my mom had accidentally texted me instead of her. FML
Today, I heard someone calling my name. It was my neighbor. Turns out they named their dogs after my mother, my sister, and me. FML
Today, I called my mother to check up on her. Lately, she's been having some financial problems, so last week I sent her my last $100 to help her out until her next paycheck. She used the money to euthanize the family dog. FML

Like the dog would've understood... Still though, many people attach human-level emotions to pets, me included

Should've said, "I'd love to, mother, but my 'sister' is a total bitch."

Dogs actually do become accustomed to certain words such as sit, bye, etc. when ever I tell my dogs bye they jump up and try to block the door :)

Animals aren't people and it's weird when they act like they are

Animals arent people? Well, my girlfriend pushes me off my bed when we cuddle, my puppy puts his paws on my chest and pushes me off my bed when he lays up there and sprawls on the whole bed. I taught my dog how to give high fives. When he gets hugged, he hugs back.

Sorry to tell you this #2 but dogs do feel emotions, as do many types of animals. (However, maybe not to the point of being upset that they weren't told goodbye.)

A human is the centre of thier world and they have alot of free time over the years doing nothing, to watch and figure you out. Don't confuse a refusal to be obedient with stupidity. If some kind of effort isn't returned why would they obey. If they don't learn the words they learn to read the tone or body language or environmental cues in your routine. They spend thier life trying to alter thier natural and undesirable 'dog' behaviours in an attempt to fit into, communicate and survive in an outnumbered human environment.

Stop over analyzing. Only OP's sister is allowed to be a bitch.

I'd call you mom a crazy cat lady, but sadly no cats are involved. Crazy dog lady just doesn't have the same ring to it...

#5 it all starts at one point. I'm sure that many years ago nobody had heard the "crazy cat lady" or any other now common expressions either. So I don't see why not the Crazy Dog Lady cannot be put to a good use in this instance... 'Jus sayin'.
