Stop!
Today, from across the parking lot, I saw a woman break into my car and steal my "Handicapped parking" placard. Guess why I couldn't stop her. FML

There's supposedly a place in the underworld with her name on it OP.

Here in the Netherlands, those handicapped parking placards have your license plate number on them. No use stealing them that way.

The YDIs on this are making me question whether or not humanity has any hope for the future.

I wouldn't come to this app/site in order to try to validate your sense of faith in humanity. :P But a few button clicks aren't worth thinking humanity has no hope anyway, because probably about half of them are accidental clicks anyway.

Don't you need to have the card AND the license plates?
RedPillSucks 33
each state has different rules
Reasonable_one 12
No you don't. Some states allow you to get special plates and others are just a sticker you put on your existing license plate. But what if you are handicapped and don't own a car? That is the reason for the placards. You can use the placard in rental cars. Also, if a care worker or even a family member is taking you somewhere, they can use the placard while you are a passenger. They can't legally use the placard without you being present but when someone is helping you get places you definitely can use the placard. That is why it is so easy to move from one vehicle to another.

Later on this page Today I stole a handicapped tag and karma came back and bit me Sorry OP...hope there are close parking spots for you until you get a new one

sometimes it takes extra effort to lock a door, or open it. when you are disabled, that extra effort can be more than just a little effort. BUT, if the breaking into the car was actually the thief reaching into the car from an open window or them just opening the car door. im sorry but ydi for not locking up your vehicle. we live in a time where you have to keep vigilant or someone will try to take what it's not theirs. people can be animals.

Being broken into usually means it was locked. Reading comprehension is awesome huh.

Report your card stolen. Also check for cctv cameras and get the thief's license plate# if possible.

That would have been a good time to take pictures of her.
