Well then he was quite the popular one when he was alive

Don't worry too much about it, OP, it gets far, far, less exciting when it's bills.

Notify the senders/post office of his passing so that they are aware and it stops.

I'd be happy with no mail, all I get is bills :(

Only people you don't want contacting you use mail. Like aunts, the IRS, and the clinic.

Here's always something to make you feel less wanted in the world

Probably overdue credit card bills, but not to worry. They'll drop off his credit report in another four years.

Wonder if the people sending the mail know he passed away...

Gee, I wonder. What a mystery.

Why would you want mail in the first place, most of it is usually garbage anyways

That's not really a good thing. As you go through life you accumulate more and more junk mail, credit card offers, mortgage refis, people who want to sell you a life supply of ShamWows... Thank your lucky stars you don't have to deal with all that crap yet.

As a postman, I will confirm this. I have people tell me on an irregular basis that, "This guy has been dead for years!" It's not like I have control over who sends what. It's my job to at least see if he (or she!) lives there.

If s/he's dead, s/he obviously doesn't live there anymore
