Today, I was yelled at and called a pedophile by a mom for talking to her 5 year-old girl. I work at a library, and she looked like she needed help. This is the third time it's happened. FML

Thinking about it, I'd say it's actually quite a good place for that. Children are often free to walk around, are usually okay with talking to others because they know they can talk to library assistants and may find it difficult to distinguish between good person and bad person, and adults at libraries tend to keep to themselves and may even assume you're actually the kid's carer.
