What's his definition of a "huge deal"? I think going to the movies or something is perfectly reasonable for 1 month.

Well OP, there's a lot of people who like doing that. I celebrate every single month with my girlfriend. Sure, we don't make a HUGE deal of it, but at least showing that you remember is nice. And isn't it better to have a guy who remembers all the details than a guy who doesn't even remember your birthday? Or even your last name. Besides, have you thought about the fact that maybe he hasn't dated someone for more than a month before? Maybe you're his FIRST, and he's really excited. What if he really likes you and is happy that he's been with you for a whole month. Generally, most people prefer a nice guy to a douche. Just saying

Unless you two agreed to do the monthiversay thing, I think he's a bit clingy. That's only if he assumed, though. My boyfriend and I thought the monthiversaies were too much and could get old and expensive fast, so we're just using the normal anniversary thing. It works for us. My brother and his girlfriend do the monthiversay thing and he's almost always broke. Not saying monthiversaies are stupid. If they work for you, more power to you. Just make sure your partner is on board with it before making a big deal about it.
