Mask confusion
Today, my coworker screamed at me for once again calling her by a different coworker's name. They have the same hair, skin color, and body type, so I honestly don’t know how I’m supposed to tell them apart. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Today, I called my coworker by the name of another coworker, and now he won’t speak to me. They’re both bald and roughly the same weight and height, so it’s not like I can easily tell them apart. FML
Today, my boss keeps calling me by my coworker's name, no matter how many times I correct her. We all have nametags, and my coworker and I look nothing alike. There is absolutely no feasible way to confuse either of us at all, let alone all the time. I'm convinced she's doing it on purpose to test my patience. FML
Today, I learned how my coworkers differentiate between my coworker and me as we have the same name, when I overheard one of them ask the other, "Which one, ugly Leslie or hot Leslie?" When the answer was "ugly Leslie," he walked straight to me. FML
Today, I asked my coworker for her name. She screamed at me because apparently I'd already asked her 5 times before. I have no memory of any of it. FML
Today, my first day at the job, I went up to my coworker and began to ask her name. She cut me off and snapped, “I have a name.” FML
Today, I found out that I’ve been greeting a coworker by the wrong name for six weeks. The worst part? They never corrected me because they thought it was funny, especially because it turns out to be their mom's name. FML
Today, at work, I was making an appointment for an old lady who told me, "You look like a movie star!" I started to thank her when she followed up with, "Like that girl from the horror movie! Your black hair and pale skin makes you look scary! Oh, sorry…" with the coworker I hate the most sitting right next to me. FML
Today, my boss shouted and screamed at me for my fuck ups that have humiliated the company and cost thousands to put right. It was only when he paused that I was able to tell him he had the wrong guy, he wanted my coworker down the hall. I’ve been here for four years and he still doesn’t know my name. FML
Today, my coworker, who keeps calling me Mexican even though she knows I'm not, is telling everyone that I act like a bitch to our boss, even though she's the one who is always contradicting and fighting with her, and I always try to keep everything professional. No other jobs are calling me back. FML
Today, my coworker asked me to add her on Facebook. She has a common name, so I picked the one I thought was her. After no response for a while, I asked for the right spelling. She saw the one I thought was her and said, “I can’t believe you thought I was that ugly.” She wasn't joking. FML

by seeing them as individuals seems like a really good place to start.

It’s almost like...they’re completely different people and want to be treated as such

unless they have the exact same face, it should be easy. You're an ass

so you can't remember who is who? here is some advice.....either learn who is who, or become self employed, because remembering people's names when you work with coworkers is "a thing".

Names can be tricky, try using the memory palace technique.

Tell her to get over herself

would you want to be called the wrong name all the time?
brockwaycc 3
No but I understand that mistakes can clearly happen and it’s not the end of the world

a mistake is something that happens occasionally, being an asshole is showing a consistent pattern of disrespect. OP is doing the latter. also just because sometimes isn't "the end of the world" doesn't mean you have to put up with it.

The same way you learn how to tell anyone else apart, by making an effort to do so. I am sure their faces aren't the same, unless they are identical twins. I am sure they don't wear the same clothes each day, and their voices are probably different, too.

Honestly this just sounds ignorant. Unless they’re identical twins you can take some time and get to know them both for the individuals they are.

It's almost like people have other distinguishing features and want to be seen as individuals. Imagine that.

racist

I'm wondering how this is racist? Before I cut and dyed my hair, our clients but not other coworkers would confused my coworker and I all the time. We both wore glasses, are around the same height, both had curly blonde hair that was around the same length, etc. We also happen to be white women
