I hate this time of year
Today, I could not decide what was sadder: the fact that I have to work on New Year's Eve, or that fact that working on New Year's Eve is still the most exciting thing I've ever done for New Year's Eve. FML

I switched from an evening shift to a day shift so I could go spend it with the neighbours - and they went somewhere else!

I spent New Year's Eve waiting for my wife to get out of her job, which was at 2 AM, New Year's Day. Sometimes, life just throws a curveball. At your balls.

I was working new years aswell. I kinda didn't mind it.

Welcome to the club. I had to work on Christmas as well. At least on Christmas i got holiday pay. We had to go to bed at 7pm so the only thing my girlfriend and I did last night was eat out. We didnt get to see the ball drop either.

It's really just another day on the calendar. Holidays can be so stressful with expectations that something wonderful is supposed to happen. It's no wonder folks get depressed. At least you have a job.
