Today, my fiancée called off our wedding out of the blue. After a long discussion about it, it turns out that last week I voiced an opinion about the wedding she didn’t agree with, and doesn’t want to spend her life married to someone who’s going to argue with her every five minutes. FML
Today, I was shopping for dresses when my fiancé turned into what I can only call a groomzilla. He told me and my maid of honor that we need to lose weight because he's not "paying all this money for a pair of fatties to not look good." FML
Today, my fiance called off our engagement, all because I let myself go due to comfort eating and depression since my mother passed and I got fired from work. He told me to lose 60 pounds or he “won’t consummate the marriage with my lard ass.” Our wedding and honeymoon were less than a month away. FML
Today, my sister told me she didn’t want me in her wedding pictures because I looked fat in my bridesmaid's dress. FML
Today, I spent thirty minutes on the phone with my best friend's mom, because her daughter was too afraid to tell me that I'm no longer a bridesmaid at her wedding because I'm too fat. FML
Today, my sister backed out of my wedding because it was becoming too much about me. After I begged her to reconsider, I had no choice but to pick a new bridesmaid. When my new bridesmaid posted on Facebook how excited she was, my sister commented, "See, you made HER feel special." FML
Today, my fiancé and I had a fight because he wouldn't let me get what I wanted to eat, even though it was my money. He said, "It's way too many calories. I'm supposed to help you lose weight." When I pointed out that I had given up a month ago, he looked at me and said, "Yeah, I can tell." FML
Today, I canceled our wedding that was scheduled for tomorrow because my fiancee's father passed away unexpectedly this morning. She got furious when I told her, because she still wanted to go through with it, and said that her dad would have wanted us to. Now she's not speaking to me. FML
Today, I proudly showed off my new body, after losing 80 pounds. My life-long best friend immediately uninvited me to her upcoming wedding, and won't explain why. FML
Today, my fiancée told me she can't marry me. Our wedding day is tomorrow and around 20 of our 180 guests attending have travelled half way around the world just for the occasion. FML

Ask your fiancée why she didn't just tell her sister she looked great and that she wasn't fat instead of non verbally agreeing with her sisters thought by giving her time to lose weight.

Women insecurities I get, but who's to say the sister will even lose the weight in the first place? You've spent energy planning for this wedding, saving up the money, and the two of you have probably even planned the date according to some special moment in the relationship etc, and this stunt the sister is pulling is incredibly selfish. A wedding is about two people. Not her. I agree with previous posters - this is an incredibly big red flag when someone chooses to blindly accept their sisters insecurity over a lifetime partner and finances.

You dodged a bullet. Run while you can. You can always make more money to recoup your losses. If your "fiance" is going to cancel your wedding over the attention-seeking rants of her sister, then what else will she cancel at the last minute? Will she say that she (or any of her family) just can't stand a house the day after the settlement period of purchase so you can't back out and are slugged with paying for the entire thing? Buy a new car and her sister hates it so it just sits in the driveway and rots? Or her sister moves in and gets the biggest bedrooom and you get to live in the basement? This is just a stunt to exercise control over you. If her sister was fat, she knew it and unless you organised a wedding in a super short period of time, she had plenty of time to lose her lard arse and multiple chins. She just didn't do it because they wanted to upstage you on that day.
