There's nothing wrong with meeting people online and starting a relationship with them. Not everyone wants to date the kind of girl you'd be likely to find at a bar. The problem is you can't be "dating" someone you've never even actually spoken to or even seen. That's why God invented microphones and webcams.

#65, I was kidding re the shame... I think people are a lot more accepting of it, than say 10 years ago, particularly in New York, where I live. I certainly think it is better than passively waiting for the right person to land in your lap. But you have to meet them reasonably soon. Imagine spending a year online dating to find that maybe the person wasn't a 14 year boy, but that you just weren't physically attracted to them when you met them in person.
