Bitch better have my money

Today, I asked my coworker to pay back the $100 I'd loaned her when she fell on hard times. She’s owed me for almost a year now, and she always said she’d pay me back “Next week.” She responded by telling HR that I was “harassing” and “threatening” her. FML

Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.

Report her to HR that she stole 100 bucks from you.

At least this only cost you $100. Many others have learned this lesson at a much higher cost. Unless you have documentation to prove the debt - it’s never, ever going to be repaid. And if you persist further in trying to collect without documentation she could possibly even get you fired from your job. Many people call it a “loan” when they are really asking for free money, or in their mind it eventually turns into that. In the future: (1) Anything more than $20 get a signed note saying that the money is a loan and when it will be repaid. (2) Never add more to a loan if you haven’t been paid back according to the original agreement. (3) If you have documentation you can take the case to small claims court.

Just watch "Inventing Anna" on Netflix. $100 is a lot less than $62,000. That should calm you down.
