This happened to my sister, hep C and all. Turns out it was a false alarm. I just made a FML account to tell you to get checked again by a private doc and don't freak out. She thought her life was over for about two weeks. Don't let that be you.

Are you an idiot? I mean, really! Why on Earth would anyone give someone who needs a transfusion infected blood? It's a bit counter-productive, dontcha think?

#31 maybe you'll be blessed with the same news and you can suck it up.seriously

His sexuality? Hepatitis C is not only contractable to gay people, it can be contracted through sharing needles and possibly other methods that I am not aware of.

You actually can't get hep c from sex. like the person before said it is only blood to blood. That's why it's common to get from a dirty tattoo parlor. My mom had hep c and was on the Pegasus treatment for it last year. The thing with treatment for Hep c is they don't give it to you unless your dying. you only have 50% chance of getting rid of the disease. My mom managed to fight off the disease in miracle time and they are testing her blood in the UofA to figure out why it worked so well. the treatment is hell and almost all ways screws up the life of those who take it.

You are retarded, every time you have sex with someone unprotected you pass blood between each other through micro cuts caused by sex.

Happened to me too turns out it was a false positive and I'm not infected. I have the antibodies and I'm actually immune to it. Get a PCR blood test for the most accurate results.

and by the way, the cure rate is much higher than 50% when treatment is started early. Hep C is a very common disease. 1 in 12 people worldwide have it. And every single one of us is a person & deserves compassion, care & understanding just like everyone else
