Hi, it's OP there. I'd like to give you more details because I always like to know what's behind a story. I didn't register before today, and in fact never thought i'd be published. My father doesn't live with me, fortunately. He lives in a house divided in two. The other half is occupied by his brother, who pays the bills (and isn't very happy about it!). He is retired and has no debt. He doesn't pay for the house insurance either, and managed to get his taxes lowered, though he still complains about it. He buys a lot of books and newspapers, which is fine for me, because after all, he does what he wants with his money. But I'm bothered because he doesn't pay for anything in the house, which is deteriorating. Every time I try to talk to him about he complains that he has no money and that I don't understand. It's very frustrating for me because I have to pay for myself everything he's not, and I earn far less. Besides, as he lives far from me, I have to pay for travel and accommodation every time I visit him. Well, that's the story behind my FML. Thanks for your comments, some made me laugh

Today, my cats were making a ton of noise rolling around and fighting over their toys, and I yelled for them to knock it off. When they looked up at me, their "toy" ran away. Not a toy, but a real mouse. It's been 2 hours, and I still can't find it. FML

They were definitely playing! They did catch it again, ironically enough, in this little pop-up 'mouse hunt' toy tent thing. I managed to trap it and get it outside safely, though they miss their toy.

Today, I'm travelling across the country with my family. My grandma thought it would be a good idea to take her shoes off. It's been 5 minutes and my eyes are watering from the stench. We still have over 200 miles left until we get home. FML

Today, it's Halloween and my boss changed his mind at the last minute, telling us we're no longer allowed to carve pumpkins in our lunch hour because, "It would be too distracting". What are we supposed to do with 12 pumpkins now? FML

Today, I knocked a girl lightly in the head with a prop at a costume party. I apologized profusely to the drama queen as she walked away blinking and holding her head. My boyfriend then told me that she had recently had brain surgery and it was hard for her to even leave the house. FML

Hi everyone! OP here. We were out at a nightclub for a Halloween event. I was standing at the edge of the dance floor talking to my boyfriend and the girl was behind me where I couldn't see her. I was carrying a cardboard hammer and I moved it and felt it touch something, then turned around and saw this girl cringing. I apologized two or three times and gave her a hug. As some people guessed, I referred to her as a "drama queen" only here, and it was to show what I thought before I knew that she had had surgery; a person who was in good physical health wouldn't have reacted so strongly to such a light tap. I did not hit her on purpose, and I certainly didn't think she was a drama queen after hearing what happened to her. Thanks for the comments!
