Today, at a World Cup watch party, my husband joked about how I’d probably eat all the snacks by halftime so everyone should eat up now. I told him that hurt and how he wasn’t the man I married anymore. He replied, “I should say the same thing about you. You didn’t do one thing to lose weight since the kids.” FML

Divorce him ASAP. My husband would never speak to me that way because he is a decent, emotionally mature man who knows that bodies change over time. I'm sorry that happened to you, and I hope things get better soon. Also, that number of YDIs is very disappointing.

(1) I agree that it’s a big no-no to criticize your spouse or significant other in front of others. While it happens sometimes with real people, it is unacceptable behavior. But not by itself “divorce now” behavior. (2) I am assuming that there might have been some truth in what spouse said. Again, terrible timing - In front of other people. It sounds like maybe the relationship and each partner needs to do some work on their issues.
