Today, I went to my guidance counselor and told her how I'd been fascinated with space since I was 12, had read about the universe and everything, and how I want to be an astrologist when I grow up. She stared at me for a second, before saying, "But you're... stupid." FML

Today, I had a conference with my dad, my counselor, and my history and English teachers because my dad was "concerned" about my grades in those two classes. We talked for a while and it was going well, then my counselor asked what I wanted to study in college. I said I wanted to be a teacher. He laughed. FML

#2 Has a point. Astronomy and Astrology are COMPLETELY different. Astronomy: The study of the universe, observing such things as the stars and planets. Astrology: Using the planets and stars to "see" what will happen in the future, commonly known as a scam since it is. Now I don't think you deserved being told stupid by that person though. That was uncalled for. Just for that I deem your life as ******.

GET IT RIGHT. astrologists study how the movements of the sun, moon, and other planets in the solar system affect human behavior. astronomers study deep space and the universe in the scientific manner. ydi

She could have meant astronomer. In the same respect, she could have meant astrologist because they both take interest in the universe, just in a different fashion. So don't jump to conclusions.

Also, there is A LOT of skill and study that is involved in astrology. It take math skill, knowledge of anthropology, mythology, astronomy, history...
