Today, I went to my guidance counselor and told her how I'd been fascinated with space since I was 12, had read about the universe and everything, and how I want to be an astrologist when I grow up. She stared at me for a second, before saying, "But you're... stupid." FML

Today, I had a conference with my dad, my counselor, and my history and English teachers because my dad was "concerned" about my grades in those two classes. We talked for a while and it was going well, then my counselor asked what I wanted to study in college. I said I wanted to be a teacher. He laughed. FML

Today, I was participating in an activity to join a program which I really wanted to join. One of the teachers in charge seemed to notice my efforts and asked if I wanted to join the program. I said yes, thinking I had a chance. She laughed, shook her head before saying no and walking away. FML

I was going to say what #51 said. If you're fascinated by space, whatever man-made word it's called doesn't matter as much as the love of the cosmos. You'll learn the right word, but hopefully did not learn a disposition toward failure from your hilarious guidance counselor. Keep pursuing what you love. The geniuses that have changed the world and changed history have been some of the biggest doofs as well. Embrace it.

Haha this reminds me of this guy I knew. The only things his brain could manage were naming constellations and playing football. I tried to talk to him about religion vs science once and he said his head hurt.

No offense, but you don't exactly seem to be the brightest star in the sky....its astronomer genius, or do you like horoscope writing careers? The Orion's Belt Constellation is showing me a long career in fast food for you.
